I hate how this blog looks

I should probably have children's services called on me for the amount of neglect I have vested on this blog in the past couple of months. I missed a whole summer's worth of movies to blog about, though I didn't really darken the door of a theater this summer because most of the movies looked atrocious. My love affair with Steam has yet to receive any type of documentation, and I haven't gushed about Redline, the animation masterpiece I witnessed last Friday, which you all need to see now.

Do you want to know the real reason I neglect this blog, though? I'll tell you why- it's hideous. It's an aesthetic nightmare that is only amplified when I am viewing it on a high resolution monitor.

I enjoy simple, minimalistic yet pleasing designs when it comes to websites. With my extremely limited knowledge of web design, I aimed to do that on this blog. All that entailed was changing the background to "Microsoft Paint on Windows 98 Brown" and making the margins to where they don't squeeze my text into thin pillars. The result is an ugly website that is reminiscent of an old Geo Cities site, and who wants that?

So, I am issuing a request. If anyone reads this, please come up with a blog template that will suit my personality, subject matter and love for minimalism.

Completely awful movies coming out this summer

The only movies you should see this summer are Thor, Super 8, The Tree of Life and Cowboys and Aliens. Perhaps Hesher as well, because everyone knows I am a sucker for Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I am choosing to sit out Pixar's offering of Cars 2 this year because Cars is their most "Dreamworksy" property in my opinion. The studio that produces such emotionally moving and theme driven films as "Wall-E" "Up" "The Incredibles" and "Toy Story 3" should stay away from a sequel with Larry the Cable Guy making an idiot of himself in Japan.

Here's a list of movies that I think will be terrible off the top of my head.

-The new Pirates of the Carribean. I can't wait to see Johnny Depp try to be endearing again by stumbling around like an idiot for 3 hours in a convoluted mess of terrible sea-faring mythology. BUT THIS TIME IT'S IN 3D!
-Mr. Poppers Penguins-kill me now. It's Jim Carrey! It's Penguins! Unless he does an exact impersonation of Ace Ventura complete with no more than 15 "aaaaaaaaaaallllrighty thens!", don't show this to me.
-The Zookeeper. It's a movie with Kevin James. This guarantees that I will never see it unless I am detained at Guantanamo Bay and forced to watch it as torture for downloading bittorrent files.
-The Smurfs. Everyone knows I love beloved 80's cartoons turned CGI and filled with hip-hop references. It's my favorite genre of anything.

Video posting?

Attention all 0 of you: I am getting an awesome new laptop soon that will be able to cook me dinner and beat Gary Kasparov in a televised chess match. Oh yeah, and it also has a webcam. Many times I don't update on here because I can't get myself to sit down and write something. For times like that, I may start putting video reviews up. We'll see how that goes, but look forward to it!
